ST. CHARLES PARISH SEEKING CITIZENS' INPUT ON NEW WEB SITE

For immediate release May 8, 2008

HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Parish is seeking input from citizens as it moves forward with plans for a new and improved Web site.

Planned features include streaming video of the latest Parish Council meetings, a way to pay utility bills online and an e-mail news subscription list.

Members of the newly formed Web Site Committee have sent application packets to both local and national Web site development companies. Each proposal will be judged and scored according to criteria set by the committee.

The group is encouraging input from citizens to make sure the site is responsive to the needs of its audience.

The committee chairman is Kendall Stall, St. Charles Parish Technology Director. Members include Public Information Officer Renee C. Allemand, Technology Specialist Abel Dufrene, Council Secretary Staffer Nicole Breaux and Emergency Operations Coordinator Steve Sirmon Jr.

If you or your company is interested in submitting a Web site proposal, please contact the Technology Help Desk at (985) 783-5096. Citizens may e-mail their ideas to Allemand rallemand@stcharlesgov.net or call her at (985) 783-5000.

The mission of St. Charles Parish government is to provide high quality, efficient services to sustain and enhance the quality of life for all residents of St. Charles Parish.

For more information, contact St. Charles Parish Public Information Officer Renee C. Allemand at (985) 783-5000 or rallemand@stcharlesgov.net.
