REGULAR DEADLINE TO ADDRESS COUNCIL IS WEEK BEFORE MEETING
For immediate release April 30, 2008
HAHNVILLE – The St. Charles Parish Council office reminds citizens that the deadline to submit petitions to address the council is the Monday before the scheduled meeting by 4 p.m.
The deadline is only extended if there is a conflict with a holiday, in which the deadline moves to the next business day at 4 p.m.
The rule is important for efficient preparation of the council’s agenda for the body’s scheduled meetings. Members of the public are always welcome to speak on council ordinances during public comment periods before each vote.
THE PETITION TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL IS AVAILABLE HERE.
