Each fire line shall have a meter and an active account that will be read each month. These services should be used for fire protection only and will not be charged a meter deposit. The account will not be charged for consumption used by fire, but a $4 minimum shall be charged each month to maintain the account. If consumption is indicated by the reading, the meter reading superintendent shall investigate the reason for the consumption. If the service was used for anything other than fire protection, the customer may be charged for the actual consumption used.
