FLOOD INSURANCE - NOW! CAMPAIGN St. Charles Parish has recorded almost $100 million in flood claims through the flood insurance prograam. Louisiana has suffered the most flood losses in the United States. St. Charles Parish's claims have exceed 32 other states and terrirotiries, As of 2005, over 40 percent of homes in St. Charles Parish DO NOT carry flood insurance or are underinsuraed. Less than 50 percent of businesses carry flood insurance. This means unless we receive federal aid, there will be no money to restart our economy in the face of a hurricane or other natural disaster. * Because St. Charles Parish participates in the Community Rating System, all residents qualify for a 15 percent discount on their quoted rate.
