St. Charles
Parish Schools
The mission of St. Charles Parish Schools is to provide high quality
educational programs to enable students to acquire the knowledge,
attitudes, and skills necessary to become responsible, productive
citizens and enthusiastic life-long learners committed to improving
themselves, their communities, and the world. The St. Charles Parish
School System includes 18 public elementary, junior high and senior
high schools. Also, there are three private schools in St. Charles
Parish that provide excellent alternatives for students not attending
public schools.
St. Charles Parish is a model for its School-to-Career initiative,
a reform movement that prepares students for today’s jobs
as the U.S. shifts from an industrial economy to a global, technical
and information-based economy. The local School-to-Work initiative
brings together business, labor and education in an unprecedented
