St. Charles Parish Map

Located in Southeast Louisiana, St. Charles Parish is approximately 25 miles west of the City of New Orleans. St. Charles Parish is one of the nine parishes that comprise the Metropolitan New Orleans Area. Bisected by the Mississippi River, St. Charles Parish’s proximity to the cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, provides its business community with ample opportunities to take advantage of the commercial, cultural, and recreational resources available throughout the region.

The economic base of St. Charles Parish is dominated by the energy and petro chemical industries. However, in recent years St. Charles Parish made great strides in diversifying its economy by suc-cessfully recruiting transportation and tech-nology related companies. Its hard working labor force, nationally recognized public school system, excellent transportation network, abundant raw materials, high quality of life, and land for commercial and industrial development make St. Charles Parish an ideal prospect for business investment.
